The wait is finally over! Rihanna just launched her Fall 2013 MAC Collection! From gorgeous lipsticks to amazing eye palettes, this collection is all you’ll need for fall and winter. I cannot get enough of the deep berry lips she rocks in her promo photos and will be stationed at my local MAC counter come October 3rd to get my hands and lips on that gorgeous shade!
Even though it still feels like we’re in the dead of summer here in Atlanta, the fact that fall (my favorite season) is only a few days away makes me both excited and anxious. With the changing of the seasons comes a need to change ones wardrobe, home decor and most importantly beauty routine. From skincare to hair care and even makeup, the fall season brings cooler temperatures, shorter days with natural sunlight and a tendency to go darker and deeper when it comes to hair color and makeup shades.
In order to help you (my loyal readers) navigate the fall 2013 beauty trends, I figured I would make it easy and simple with a few key trends to watch for and incorporate into your routine:
Oxblood lips are THE must have lip color this Fall. In the past, the deep reds, crimsons and wine colors have all been staples for autumn but this year, the color goes deeper, darker and much more dramatic. The best way to wear this dangerous color is matte or semi-matte. Glossy dark lips can look too vampy. Pair this bold lip with a very neutral eye and barely there cheek.
Urban Decay has a reputation of thinking outside the box regarding all things beauty. From cool eyeshadows with fun names to one of the best eyeshadow primers in the business, Urban Decay is not your mother’s make-up brand. Well, right on target, the infamous brand delivers high wattage lip colors that are sure to be one of the beauty staples in every “It Girl’s” cosmetic bag. With 22 intensely pigmented shades that impart delicious creamy color, there’s bound to be at least one shade that will rock your world. Here are a few of my favorites!
Each lip color sells for $22 and can be purchased at UrbanDecay.com and Sephora.com.
I was scrolling through Twitter yesterday when I happened to click on a Tweet from Jordin Sparks. She was sending a shout-out to Fashion Fair for sending her a gorgeous pink lipstick and gloss that was truly magnetic! The color literally jumped off the screen of my iPhone! I have to have that pink! I decided to check out the lip color and went to the Fashion Fair website. The color is called Divine Pink and it’s part of a limited-edition collection for the 2000’s. Each collection has a signature pink lipstick, lip gloss, nail polish and blush. There are four collections, Foxy 70’s, Fresh 80’s, Sensual 90’s and Divine 2000’s. I can’t wait to get my hands on this gorgeous collection!
