Calling all fashionistas!!!! Guess who’s coming to H&M in November? Maison Margiela! Who? You ask. The designer behind many of Lady Gaga’s most outrageous looks and a celebrated new voice in the world of avante garde fashion. Think exaggerated black blazers with crazy collars and cool latex dresses that evoke a sense of S&M with a wearable appeal. This collabo is sure to be the most risk one to date. Some details that have already hit the net are that there will be men’s and women’s collections and accessories. Expect tons of white pieces as this will be a fall/winter collection. It will be sold in 230 stores worldwide and will sell out extremely fast in most markets. The adventure begins on November 15th 2012!
Nail polish is no longer demure and lady like. It’s all about wild brash color that speaks volumes and makes a statement whether it’s on fingers or toes! During Sunday night’s Grammy awards show, Lady Gaga debuted this new shade by the brilliant Deborah Lippmann. It’s aptly named Yellow Brick Road and is a stunning, bright yellow. This is a great shade when paired with the Spring/Summer whites or the nude trend that has taken the fashion world by storm. This might not work for everyone but if you’re a bold, daring type of girl, give it a go!
In keeping with my Halloween beauty tutorials- here is a super cool makeup tutorial inspired by Lady Gaga’s music video for “Telephone”. This video was a cornucopia of imagery, color, makeup, hair and costumes as Lady Gaga and Beyonce shaked, shimmied and sang their way out of a women’s prison.
I love this look as its over the top and perfect for Halloween!
You know you’ve hit superstar status when you’re set to be the top-selling Halloween costume of the year. Lady Gaga has truly taken her popularity and parlayed into iconography as she is one of the most highly recognizable and most popular entertainers on the planet right now. I am such a big Lady Gaga fan only because she is living, breathing performance art and gives her audience a show of a lifetime. From her over the top fashion to her heavy handed makeup looks, she is not afraid to look different, strange, sometimes ugly even to get her point across- beauty comes in every shape, size, color and style – there’s no such thing as a standard of beauty in Gaga’s world! Love it!

I am working on a color story for the Fall issue of Kouture Magazine and I had the pleasure of getting to check out an amazingly fresh new nail color called Bad Romance by the Lippmann Collection which will be debuting shortly. This color was inspired by Lady Gaga during a manicure for a photo shoot. The result is a color that is ridiculousy sexy, decadent and fun! Its a blackened fuchsia with glitter.
I can’t wait to rock this shade in the Fall on fingers and toes.
