• Sweet Tea: Beyonce’s New Video – “Why Don’t You Love Me?”

Bey’s latest video just hit the net and its definitely one to watch! For starters, she is rocking some ultra glam retro 50’s looks that work well within the video. I love the makeup – bold liner, overdone creases and pale green nail polish – courtesy of Damone Robert’s iconic 1968 polish for OPI! I forsee lots of retro looks hitting runways, splashing across beauty and fashion pictorials and walking down a sidewalk near you!

My favorite lyrics of this song have to be:

There’s nothing not to love about me
No, no, there’s nothing not to love about me
    I’m lovely
There’s nothing not to need about me
No, no, there’s nothing not to need about me
Maybe you’re just not the one
Or maybe you’re just plain……. DUMB

  • Beyonce Channels Hippie CounterCulture Vibe for Coachella

My big brother who will be referred to as Unkie D ( he hates that by the way) had his first Coachella experience this weekend. For those of you who aren’t up on this music fest, Coachella is a ginormous weekend long open-air music festival held in Indio, California which is close to Palm Springs. Musical acts of all types converge on the festival which usually attracts anywhere from 30,000 to 40,000 people.

Jay Z headlined the Friday night show and even brought his babygirl Miss Beyonce up on stage to perform his hit song “Forever Young” in front of a crowd of thousands of excited fans. One thing about Coachella is that it is a very laid back scene style wise. With temperatures soaring into the 80’s and a dusty open field as your festival headquarters, there is no need to be dressed to the nines in sexy stilettos, skin tight jeans and a face full of glammed out makeup. • And the Oscar Goes To….

These are my predicitions for best beauty look on Oscar Sunday….

    Beyonce Oscars

Beyonce – Fearless, fierce and fashion forward – I am expecting full on glamour from this entertainment powerhouse. I wouldn’t be surprised if she channeled old Hollywood – Rita Hayworth, Veronica Lake, Lana Turner with sensuous long waves, gorgeous red lips and to die for glimmering skin.

Zoe Saldana – Exotic, Sensuous and Sexy, there is no look this beautiful screen siren can’t pull off. I imagine she will pull out all of the stops this Sunday since her hit blockbuster film Avatar is nominated for nine awards which means the spotlight will surely be on the budding star all night. I hope she plays up her beautiful skin tone and gives serious face with a delicious smokey eye.

Penelope Cruz – Sweet, Sophisticated and Classic, Penelope is old Hollywood beautiful yet with a modern twist. I love how she plays up her dark features without coming off garish or overdone. I expect she will sweep onto the red carpet in some gorgeous drape of a gown that will have everyone on the carpet swooning as usual. She does best with her hair off her face and her makeup light, natural and effortless.

    Anne Hathaway

Anne Hathaway – Timeless, Elegant and Chic – Anne Hathaway embodies the modern 21st century woman with her beautiful approach to fashion and style. I have no doubts that she will go for the glam with a bright lip, soft, natural eye and flawless skin.
