Caring for biracial children’s skin can be a bit of a daunting task. What products do you use and should you use products that are recommended for one race over another? The answer to this question is to figure out what skin type your little one has. Are they oily, dry, combination, sensitive or normal? Next, you will need to realize that if they happen to be part African-American, they may be prone to ashiness that often results in a layer of dry skin that leaves skin looking dull. It is important to use quality skin care products without parabens and other toxins on your child’s skin. Burt’s Bees is one of my favorite skin care lines as it is certified organic and has a range of products for children that are safe and effective. One of the products that come highly recommended is the buttermilk bath soap since it leaves skin smooth and soft and doesn’t contain harsh dyes, perfumes or chemicals.
