Product Review: Urbanbella Signature Series Hair Care Line

One of the perks of being a beauty writer and blogger is getting the opportunity to try out new products. Just the other day, I received a package from Urbanbella - a curly hair sanctuary nestled in the heart of Buckhead, a tony neighborhood in Atlanta. Along with curly hair consultations and styling, Urbanbella sold many of the top curly hair care brands on the market including; Curls, Jane Carter Solution Phyto, Hair Rules and many more. Over the years, Keneesha Hudson, the owner of Urbanbella decided to venture out and create her own signature hair care line for curly hair.

That’s how Urbanbella Sigature Series Hair Care came about. Keneesha had the desire to produce a quality hair care line that addressed all of the needs of her clients and curly hair women everywhere. One of the very first things I noticed when using this line is the incredible scents. Being that the aroma of a product is highly important to me, I was super happy that each product smelled utterly delicious. Another aspect that caught my attention is that this collection is paraben, silicon and sulfate-free. As someone who seeks out healthy hair care, skincare and beauty products, I was thrilled at the prospect of treating my hair to a healthy line of products that wouldn’t cause any damage or harm.

I decided to test the products out after a particularly grueling morning workout. I started with the No. 7 Non Lather Cleanser. This sulfate-free shampoo is ideal for curly hair as it allows you to cleanse your hair without stripping it of much-needed oils. Infused with peppermint and spearmint extracts, this highly emollient cleanser gently removes dirt, oil and product build-up while infusing hair with moisture and hydration. As someone who believes in co-washing, I LOVED the tingly sensation of this delectable cleanser.

After rinsing out the cleanser, I slathered my curls with No.4 Hydrating Conditioner. I love the thick creamy consistency of this moisture-rich conditioner as it feels luscious when applying it all over from root to tip. With pineapple extract for hydration and sunflower seed oil for nourishment, this conditioner worked wonders for my freshly washed curls.

As soon as I finished taking my shower, I combed my hair out with my wide-tooth comb. Next, I applied No. 23 Hydrating Moisturizing Cream onto my damp curls. I ran it through my hair from root to tip and scrunched the product into my hair in order to help define my curl. With a four butter blend including; shea butter and kokum butter, this amazing styling product left my curls healthy-looking, shiny and well-defined. I am in LOVE with this collection and can’t wait to share the hair care love with anyone seeking an amazing curly hair line.
