Fresh New Face: Jenny Bapst
Last night I had the pleasure of attending the premiere screening of VH1’s Love & Hip Hop Atlanta at Frank Ski’s restaurant in the heart of Buckhead. During one of the final scenes of the show they played a track from a new singer that immediately caught my attention. The new singer’s name is Jenny Bapst and she is certainly one to watch.
The multiracial beauty hails from Paris. Her mother is African-American, French and Native American while her father is French. Growing up in Paris, France sounds oh so glamorous but Jenny Bapst didn’t live a charmed life. She came from humble beginnings where she had to work hard for everything she got. While growing up, one of her biggest passions was basketball and she almost made her dream of playing basketball on a professional level come true when fate came knocking.
While finishing up high school, a model scout noticed her and recommended that she go into the fast-paced world of modeling. Jenny didn’t hesitate and was signed to Elite Model Management in New York City where she soared as a rising model shooting campaigns for L’Oreal, Jean Paul Gaultier, Benetton, Roberto Cavalli, Peter Beard and Bandolino. After working the modeling scene for the past several years, Jenny is now embarking on an adventure that encompasses another one of her passions – music. She just put out her first EP – “Just 4 Play” and is sure to become a big name in the dance music world with her angelic voice, gorgeous look and multicultural sound.
